if you ever had a problem with an HP laptop stating the following
HP Battery Alert
The system has detected the storage capacity of the battery stated below to be very low.
For optimal performance, this battery may need to be replaced.
Primary (internal) Battery (601)
ENTER - Continue Startup
For more information, please visit: www.hp.com\go\techcenter\startup
Simply know, that this message means the primary battery that you use to power your computer without the power cord, is dying and should be replaced, and the message does not mean your CMOS battery is dying.
just making things straight :)
This message unfortunately, cannot be disabled, it will show for 15 seconds and then disappear.
The only thing you can do about it, is buying and replacing your current battery.
For any questions in that concern, comment and i will comment back.
cheers
So it tells me to replace the internal battery but it's the external battery that's dead? That's back asswards. Why doesn't it tell you it's the external battery and give a 602 error?
ReplyDeleteI don't know ...
ReplyDeletethat is why i posted the above...
because it doesn't make any sense to me.
Why they call it internal battery ...
they could've just call it battery **
anyways...
Hopefully this post did help you ;)
